  • 2nd Monday of each month
  • January 9th: 3-5PM: Free, Refreshments served.  “Images of Old Weston”

In the mid-1980s. Larry Walker, then President of the Weston Historical Society, assembled a collection of old Weston photographic prints and re-photographed them as 35mm slides, enough to fill a Kodak Carousel (80 slides). Some 25 years later those images on film were digitized as the collection “Images of Old Weston”. Most of the images date from the first decades of the 20th century: a couple earlier, a few later. On January 9, at 3 PM, the Historical Society will show the full collection at the Gathering Place at the Hub. Come and re-live a bygone Weston.

Please RSVP to thehubatweston@gmail.com. Refreshments will be served. For more information about The Weston Historical Society contact Bob Brandt at 802-824-5486.

    February 13th: “Gladys Walker”

Gladys Walker passed away in 2008 at the tender age of 101. But longevity was not her only talent. She was warm and wise and witty (sometimes sharply so). In her 90s, Gladys was interviewed and recorded by Anne Leith, at Allarts Studio. That interview will be shown at the Gathering Place at the Hub on February 13 at 3 PM.

  • March 13th: Movie-The West River.

Learn about the geography, geology, economics and history of the West River.  Reserve by emailing the Hub at thehubatweston@gmail.com.
